[시사뉴스 강영진 기자] 대구교통공사가 지난 해 12월 에비타당성 조사 통과 후 이용자 수요, 접근성, 안전성, 경제성 및 시공성, 환경성 등을 여러 관점에서 객관적이고 합리적으로 검토한 엑스코선 기본계획(안)을 마련해 공청회를 개최한다고 14일 밝혔다.
엑스코선 기본계획(안)의 주요 변경사항은 ▲첫째, 차량시스템(모노레일→AGT) 변경으로, 모노레일 제작사인 히타치사의 사업 참여 불가 통보에 따라 철도안전 관련 법령 충족 및 안정적이고 효율적인 운영을 위한 국내기술이 확보된 AGT로 변경 ▲둘째, 정거장 1개소 추가로 대구공고네거리 주변 대규모 주거 단지(7,800세대)가 입지하여 수요 증대 및 이용 편의성 향상을 위해 추가 역 신설 ▲셋째, 차량기지 위치(봉무IC→불로동) 변경으로 당초 계획된 봉무IC는 가용면적이 제한되어 있어 장래 연경지구, K2후적지 개발과 연계한 노선 연장시 확장이 가능한 불로동 농경지로 위치 변경이다.
대구교통공사는 도시철도 엑스코선 건설사업 기본계획(안) 수립에 따른 충분한 시민 의견 수렴을 위해 지난 7일 시의회 의견청취를 했고, 향후 공청회 및 주민설명회를 관련 전문가와 지역주민들이 참석한 가운데 개최할 예정이다.

The main changes in the Exco Line Basic Plan (Draft) are ▲ First, the vehicle system (monorail → AGT) is changed to AGT, which meets railway safety-related laws and secures domestic technology for stable and efficient operation, following the notification of Hitachi, a monorail manufacturer, that it cannot participate in the business ▲ Second, a large-scale residential complex (7. 800 units) around Daegu Gonggone Street is located in addition to one additional stop, Third, the location of the vehicle depot (Bongmu IC → Bullo-dong) was changed to Bullo-dong agricultural land, which can be expanded in the event of a line extension in connection with the future development of Yeonkyung-district and K2 site, as the originally planned Bongmu IC has limited available area.
Daegu Transportation Corporation heard the opinions of the city council on the 7th to collect sufficient citizen opinions on the establishment of the basic plan (draft) for the urban railroad Exco Line construction project, and will hold public hearings and resident briefings in the future with relevant experts and local residents in attendance.
